Facultative air-breathing (Ref. 126274); Inhabit the lake bottom down to about 75 m. (Ref 4967). Sometimes caught at deep regions. A piscivore (Ref. 5595, 78218). Found in more than 40 m of depth over rocky substrates interspersed with areas of sand (Ref. 78218).
